WSJ: Musk Aims to Populate Earth with ‘Legion’ of High-IQ Offspring

Sources cited by the Wall Street Journal say the tech mogul is determined to spearhead efforts to counter what he believes is an impending demographic crisis.

Elon Musk reportedly aims to populate the world with a “legion” of highly intelligent children in order to avert societal collapse resulting from declining global birth rates, according to a Wall Street Journal report published Tuesday. The newspaper cited unnamed sources.

The WSJ’s investigation reportedly centers on what it characterized as a “harem drama” surrounding Musk. The report states that the billionaire has at least 14 children with four women, though the actual number could be higher. It also alleges that his relationships with the mothers often involve non-disclosure agreements and contentious parenting disagreements.

The WSJ claims that Musk’s drive to have more children stems from his “dark view” of the future, where humanity faces extinction due to demographic issues. According to the report, citing individuals familiar with the matter, “He is driven to correct the historic moment by helping seed the earth with more human beings of high intelligence.”

Ashley St. Clair, who alleges she had an affair with Musk and is the mother of one of his children, shared a message with the WSJ purportedly from the billionaire. In the message, Musk allegedly referred to his children as a “legion,” a reference to ancient Roman military units known for expanding imperial territories, and insisted on having even more children with other women. He reportedly said, “To reach legion-level before the apocalypse, we will need to use surrogates.”

The Wall Street Journal further alleges that Musk has used the social media platform X to find potential mothers, often individuals with a high public profile whom he has never met in person.

In 2021, Musk stated that low birth rates posed “one of the biggest risks to civilization.” He added, “If people don’t have more children, civilization is going to crumble.”

Musk’s personal life has faced scrutiny. His daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson, who has disavowed him and is transgender – a stance Musk has criticized – has labeled the billionaire a “serial adulterer.” He is also in a custody battle with Canadian singer Grimes, who has claimed that he prevented one of their children from seeing family for several months.
