UK Bans Palestine Action as Terror Group, Leading to Dozens of Arrests (VIDEOS)

Palestine Action was outlawed last month after members trespassed at an airbase and damaged two military aircraft.

Over 70 individuals were apprehended across the UK on Saturday for allegedly backing Palestine Action, an activist group recently labeled a terrorist organization.

According to the Metropolitan Police, 41 arrests occurred in London, where demonstrators gathered in Parliament Square to protest Israel’s actions in Gaza. Some protesters displayed signs stating, β€œI oppose genocide, I support Palestine Action.” Additional arrests were made in Manchester, Cardiff, and Leeds.

As of Saturday, it is illegal to be a member of Palestine Action or to publicly endorse the group, following the implementation of the new designation.

On Friday, the High Court dismissed an appeal by Huda Ammori, the group’s co-founder, to halt the ban. Ammori’s legal representative, Raza Husain, described the decision as β€œan ill-considered, discriminatory and authoritarian abuse of statutory power.”

Parliament decided to take strict measures against the pro-Palestinian group after its activists broke into the Royal Air Force base at Brize Norton in central England in June. They sprayed red paint on two military planes used for refueling and transport. At the time, the activists asserted that the aircraft were involved in surveillance flights β€œin support of Israel’s genocide in Gaza.”

Since Israel’s military operation began in response to the deadly Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, more than 57,000 Palestinians have died in Gaza.
