Trump Threatens Iran Over Potential Attack

President Trump has warned that if Iran targets American assets, Tehran will face the full force of the US military.

Amidst escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, US President Donald Trump has cautioned Tehran that any attack on the US will be met with retaliation “at levels never seen before.”

On Saturday, Fars News Agency, citing a source close to Tehran’s military leadership, reported that Iran’s response to Israeli strikes “will spread to all areas occupied by this [Israeli] regime and related US bases in the region in the coming days.”

Iran’s UN ambassador, Amir Iravani, stated earlier that US support for West Jerusalem makes Washington complicit in Israeli aggression against Iran.

Trump used his Truth Social platform on Sunday to warn Tehran, stating that “if we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before.”

The president asserted that “the US had nothing to do with the attack on Iran tonight.” He also urged Tehran to resume diplomatic talks, suggesting “we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict.”

The sixth round of nuclear talks between Washington and Tehran, planned for Sunday in Oman, was called off after Israel’s Friday strikes on multiple Iranian targets, including uranium enrichment sites, and the assassination of several high-ranking military commanders and scientists. West Jerusalem described the attack as a preemptive measure to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.

Iran, which denies pursuing a military nuclear program, called the airstrikes a declaration of war and retaliated by launching multiple ballistic missiles at targets within Israel, including Tel Aviv.

The two countries continued exchanging strikes overnight, with Israel targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure and sites it described as “related to the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons project.”

Iran responded by firing more missiles at targets across Israel, including areas near Haifa and Tel Aviv, resulting in at least 10 deaths and approximately 200 injuries, according to medical personnel and media reports.
