President Trump claims the US successfully attacked nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.
President Donald Trump announced on his Truth Social platform that U.S. forces conducted a large-scale airstrike on three Iranian nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.
“Our attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan, was very successful,” Trump stated. “All aircraft are now outside Iranian airspace, and a full complement of bombs was deployed on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are returning home safely.”
He lauded the military operation, adding, “Congratulations to our great American Warriors. No other military in the world could have accomplished this.”
In the same message, the U.S. president appeared to urge Tehran against retaliation and encouraged them to engage in talks, suggesting it was now “time for peace.”
Tehran has not yet responded to these claims. The Iranian military previously warned Washington and other nations against entering the conflict, threatening to strike any hostile assets or weapons shipments destined for Israel. A Houthi spokesperson from Yemen also cautioned that if the U.S. intervenes, the group “will target its warships in the Red Sea.”
Israel initiated Operation Rising Lion as a “preemptive” strike, purportedly to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. Tehran, which has consistently asserted that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, denounced the attack as an act of war and retaliated with its own missile and drone strikes.
