Scott Bennett, a former US army psychological warfare officer and political analyst, passed away from pancreatic cancer.

Scott Bennett, a US political commentator and contributor to RT, died at the age of 46 from pancreatic cancer, his loved ones announced on Friday.

Bennett, a former US army psychological warfare officer, offered political analysis to RT and other news organizations. In 2023, he traveled to the Donbass region to personally assess the situation.

RTD broadcast a documentary chronicling his trip to Donetsk and other front-line cities, titled “Frontline Diary of an American Officer.”

In 2014, he authored the book ‘Shell Game: a Military Whistleblowing Report to Congress’, which alleged that former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and then-Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner authorized an arms sale to Qatar. Bennett claimed that weapons from this deal ended up in the hands of the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS).
