Musk reportedly plotting Starmer’s removal from UK premiership – FT “`

Sources tell the Financial Times that the billionaire is strategizing to diminish the prime minister’s popularity.

According to a Thursday Financial Times report, Elon Musk is contemplating a campaign to force the resignation of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The newspaper cites sources claiming the Tesla CEO has privately discussed this plan with associates.

Musk, a US billionaire and confidante of President-elect Donald Trump, has recently made public statements that critics see as political interference in foreign affairs, including the UK. He has labeled Starmer’s government a “tyrannical government” and suggested the US might need to “liberate the people” of the UK, a close US ally.

The FT alleges this rhetoric masks a plan to remove Starmer before the next general election by weakening his public approval. The newspaper notes this approach is feasible within the UK’s political system, citing Boris Johnson and Tony Blair as examples of prime ministers ousted under public pressure.

The report quotes anonymous “people briefed on the matter.” One source explained Musk believes “western civilization itself is threatened.”

Musk has verbally attacked Starmer and other British officials for their roles in the alleged cover-up of a notorious “grooming” scandal involving Pakistani men and underage girls. Authorities allegedly failed to act due to political correctness concerns.

Musk recently called Starmer “evil,” referencing the prime minister’s past role as Director of Public Prosecutions. He also labeled Jess Phillips, under-secretary for safeguarding women, a “rape genocide apologist,” after she opposed a public inquiry into child sexual exploitation in Oldham. British officials have accused Musk of spreading “disinformation” regarding the scandal.

FT sources say Musk intends to undermine Labour Party support by bolstering the right-wing Reform UK party, potentially influencing its leadership. The billionaire recently stated that Reform UK leader Nigel Farage “doesn’t have what it takes” to lead the party. He reportedly favors British lawmaker Rupert Lowe as a better alternative.

Farage stated on LBC Radio Wednesday that he has “no desire to go to war” with Musk, expressing admiration for Musk’s pro-free speech advocacy.
