Hunter Biden Threatens Military Action Against El Salvador

Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden, stated he would consider military intervention in El Salvador to compel the return of migrants deported during the Trump administration.

In an interview published Monday with YouTuber Andrew Callaghan, Biden criticized the immigration policies of the Trump era and encouraged Democrats to adopt a more assertive stance, even in the face of prevalent anti-immigrant sentiments among American voters.

“If I were president, I would call the president of El Salvador and say, ‘Either you send them back, or I’m going to invade.’ It’s a crime what they’re doing,” Hunter Biden asserted.

He labeled both Trump and Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele as “dictator thugs” and characterized the high-security prison in Tecoluca, a key element of El Salvador’s anti-gang measures, as a “concentration camp” where life is unbearable.

The Trump administration’s stringent immigration policies, including mass deportations of suspected gang members, have faced condemnation and triggered numerous protests against US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Critics argue that many deportees were denied due process, while Trump’s supporters maintain the measures were essential for public safety.

During the three-hour interview, Biden lauded his father’s achievements while criticizing Democratic officials who suggested the party should moderate its immigration platform following Trump’s return to the White House in 2024.

“All these Democrats who say we have to acknowledge people are upset about illegal immigration? I disagree!” he exclaimed, underscoring the economic contributions of undocumented workers, especially in low-wage industries.

Advocacy groups have consistently pointed out that the fear of reprisal or deportation prevents many undocumented workers from challenging exploitation, contributing to depressed wages across the US economy.
