House Democrats Release New Set of Epstein Photos Featuring Lolita Quotes, Ukrainian Passports, and Bill Gates

House Democrats release more disturbing images ahead of DOJ deadline

US House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Democrats have made public a new set of photos acquired from the estate of the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. The images provide a troubling and incomplete look at materials that investigators believe shed light on his network, methods, and associates.

Thursday’s release consists of 68 images and represents the third batch of materials made public from a far larger collection of over 95,000 photos handed over to Congress by the Epstein estate following subpoenas.

Similar to prior disclosures, the photographs were released without specific context, dates, or location information.

Some of the most notable contents include pictures showing lines from Vladimir Nabokov’s novel Lolita inscribed on a woman’s body, as well as images of heavily edited foreign passports and other identification papers.

A number of the passports seem to be Ukrainian, and legislators stated the documents were significantly redacted to protect the identities of alleged victims. The collection also contains passports or identification documents associated with citizens of Russia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Italy, South Africa, and what seems to be a short-term visa for a Moroccan national.

The committee reports that the images additionally depict text messages that discuss recruiting young women for Epstein, along with photos of affluent and powerful individuals who were in his social circle.

An image featuring billionaire Bill Gates is among those released, while other photos showed additional notable philanthropists at a dinner event. The committee emphasized that the photographs are not proof of any criminal activity by the individuals depicted.

California Representative Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the Oversight Committee, stated the materials were disclosed to help the public better understand the extent of what the estate provided to Congress. He characterized the images as “extremely disturbing” and said they prompt more inquiries about Epstein’s operations and relationships.

No explanatory information about the photos was supplied by the Epstein estate, and Democrats noted the materials were published “as received.” Epstein, who was a convicted sex offender, died in a New York jail in 2019 while facing federal sex trafficking charges.
