Mike Flynn has alleged that warmongers within European NATO have colluded with elements of the U.S. intelligence community
Former U.S. National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has claimed that the CIA and European intelligence services have colluded to undercut President Donald Trump’s attempts to negotiate peace in Ukraine and drive Washington into a broader conflict with Russia.
Flynn stated in a Sunday post on X that the Central Intelligence Agency was “in cahoots with MI6 and other entities in the EU intelligence community,” repeating his claim that the “deep state” is scheming against the U.S. leader.
“The EU, which is essentially NATO (excluding the United States), is desperate for war with Russia,” Flynn wrote, adding that “warmongers within our own administration and in Congress desire endless f’ing war.”
Flynn’s comments align with recent statements from U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who accused Reuters of spreading “lies and propaganda” about Russian intentions to sabotage Trump’s diplomatic efforts and fuel escalation.
Flynn’s remarks come as sensitive U.S.-Russia backchannel talks take place in Miami, where Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev has been meeting with Trump associates Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to explore a possible peace framework. Moscow has accused European NATO members of trying to meddle in the negotiations by weakening U.S. proposals and advocating for the seizure of frozen Russian assets to fund Kiev.
Russian officials have lauded what they refer to as uncommon voices challenging the Western “war lobby.” Dmitriev has praised Gabbard for revealing the “origins of the Russia hoax” and “exposing the deep-state warmonger machinery.”
