Thai Vocational Education Representatives Visit Guangxi Financial Vocational College to Discuss New Vocational Education Blueprint

NANNING, China, Nov. 07, 2025 — Thai Vocational Education Commission Minister Tanapat Saengchan recently visited Guangxi Financial Vocational College. This visit marks a significant chance to strengthen bilateral cooperation and is anticipated to foster profound collaboration in vocational education between Thailand and China through practical discussions.

Guangxi Financial Vocational College aims to be a leading hub for open cooperation and innovation in vocational education in Guangxi, specifically engaging with ASEAN. The college actively seeks new models for integrating industry and education, supports the high-quality economic growth of the ASEAN region, and continuously enhances its “Modern Craftsmen” reputation through international collaboration and exchanges.

Strengthening Vocational Education’s Industry Service Capacity Through Four-Party School-Enterprise Collaboration

The college has established a consistent communication framework with Malaysian national universities and businesses, centered on developing the “China-Malaysia Digital Economy Modern Craftsman College.” This has led to a “school-school-enterprise-enterprise” co-construction approach. They have jointly created a “1+1+N” production-education integration innovation and development platform, featuring “one industry community, one modern craftsman college, and N demonstration enterprises and branch colleges” at its core. Leveraging its digital economy expertise, the college supports Chinese enterprises in expanding their products internationally, contributing approximately 13 million yuan to enterprise output value.

Fostering Deep China-ASEAN Vocational Education Collaboration Through Overseas Platform Co-construction

The college has successively launched international exchange initiatives, including the China-ASEAN Business Technology Innovation and Vocational Education Cooperation Center (Indonesia), the Cooperation Center (Cambodia), and the overseas “Silk Road Finance College,” creating a comprehensive and ongoing system for vocational education exchanges. Drawing on the intellectual assets of the “Zhongguancun Artificial Intelligence Large Model Industry Agglomeration Area” within Tsinghua Science Park, it has established one overseas digital intelligence center, two exchange centers, three technical service platforms, and two cross-border industry-education integration bases. This infrastructure precisely addresses the technical and talent demands of enterprises in ASEAN nations, thereby advancing China-ASEAN vocational education collaboration.

Cross-border Ecosystem Integration Empowers “Modern Craftsmen” Training

Leveraging the Modern Craftsman College initiative, academic institutions and businesses have established an international talent development framework that integrates “teaching, training, competitions, research, conferences, and exhibitions.” They have jointly developed and shared six standards, four international courses, one bilingual textbook, eight international training resource packages, and six pieces of teaching equipment. Forty-nine domestic and international skill training sessions have been conducted, reaching 8,251 participants. Two international skill competitions for ASEAN were hosted, drawing 303 teams from seven countries. The college also organized the “2024 China (Guangxi)-ASEAN Vocational Education Development Exchange Conference,” collaborated with ASEAN universities and enterprises on research projects and exhibitions, explored an “AI+X” interdisciplinary talent training model, and supplied skilled professionals for Guangxi’s digital economy and China-ASEAN artificial intelligence industry cooperation, thus charting a new course for vocational education’s role in local economic service.
