Registration Now Live for PC and PlayStation 5 Ahead of the Upcoming Closed Beta
BEIJING, Feb. 06, 2026 — Hethereau has reopened! NTE, the ambitious urban open-world RPG from Perfect World Games and Hotta Studio, is now available to players for its latest closed beta, the ‘Co-Ex Test’, on PC and PlayStation®5. Additionally, Perfect World Games is excited to announce that pre-registration for the iOS and Android versions of NTE is now open as well.
While registration for the PC and PS5 Co-Ex Test is now closed, aspiring anomaly hunters still have a way to join the action. By participating in and linking their Perfect World Games account, viewers can tune in to their favorite streamers as they explore Hethereau — and also stand a chance to be selected for test access!

New features unlocked in the Co-Ex Test include:
- Crime Mechanics: Engaging in illegal activities within the city raises your wanted level, potentially triggering police pursuit! If captured, players will be taken to a detention center, where they can either work to repay their debt to society…or try to escape!
- Driving and Modifications: New vehicle types have been added, including muscle cars, supercars, and motorbikes! Character companion and riding animations have been updated, plus a new first-person POV option is available. New vehicle actions include honking the horn and exiting the vehicle mid-motion, while vehicles now face risks like popped tires, knockbacks, damage, and…explosions! General handling and physics have also been improved, with extra modification choices unlocked.
- New Urban Gameplay Mechanics: City life is more immersive than ever before! Players can take part in activities such as fishing, earning cash as a taxi driver, racing, playing Mahjong and rhythm games, working at coffee shops, and joining the new Pink Paws Heist to collect resources.
- Protagonist and Main Character Outfits: New urban-themed outfits are available for players to customize the protagonist and main characters. Each outfit features a minimalist design focused on sleek, functional fashion (no flowing fabrics or ribbons), providing a fresh, modern aesthetic that matches the city’s vibrant vibe.

NTE is an ambitious, one-of-a-kind online RPG set in the city of Hethereau — a sprawling, seamless open world built with Unreal Engine 5, where humans live alongside supernatural anomalies. Players will take control of a variety of vibrant, dynamic characters (each with distinct personalities and abilities) to explore the city and look into these anomalies through episodic comedy-drama storylines.
