The CFexpress 4.0 lineup comes in two series—Extreme and Express—each tailored for distinct professional applications while adhering to the same CFA-certified VPG 800 performance benchmark.
The Extreme Series, available in 600GB and 1TB capacities, uses SLC mode flash memory and improved internal over-provisioning to deliver outstanding stability during nonstop recording. Along with VPG 800 certification, the Extreme Series also holds VPG 400 certification, guaranteeing a minimum sustained write speed of 400MB/s even when the card is nearly full. This makes it especially suitable for mission-critical production environments where consistency and dependability are crucial.
The Express Series, offered in 2TB and 4TB sizes, is designed for creators who prioritize large storage capacity alongside guaranteed VPG 800 sustained performance. Built with high-quality TLC mode flash memory, the Express Series supports long recording sessions and high-resolution workflows while fully complying with CFA performance standards.
Every card in the lineup undergoes formal testing and certification through the CFA Video Performance Guarantee (VPG) program, confirming that sustained write speeds are maintained during continuous recording—not just in short burst scenarios or synthetic benchmark tests. This certification ensures reliable performance for professional video formats where frame drops are unacceptable.
