Lianhe Sowell International Group Ltd. Secures $1.8 Million Deal to Create AI-Powered Steam Car-Wash Robot with Major Water Reduction

(SeaPRwire) –   SHENZHEN, CHINA, March 30, 2026 — Lianhe Sowell International Group Ltd (Nasdaq: LHSW) (the “Company”), a Chinese provider of industrial machine vision products and solutions, today revealed the signing of a contract with HECA Group, Inc. (“HECA”), a California-based firm, to develop an automated AI-powered steam car-wash robot for the client. This move further progresses the Company’s strategy to commercialize water-saving cleaning solutions in the North American market. The contract is valued at approximately $1.8 million, contingent on the terms and milestone requirements outlined in the agreement.

HECA has tasked Lianhe Sowell with developing the car-wash robot to tackle challenges impacting certain North American car-wash markets, such as water usage, environmental permitting needs, and construction timelines. The system is designed to employ robotic steam cleaning, which could reduce water consumption by up to 90% compared to some traditional systems, and operate without chemical foams. It is built upon the Company’s core AI paint-spraying robot technology.

Under the contract, the mobile, fully automated unit is crafted for rapid deployment and unattended operation, aiming for an integrated wash-polish-wax cycle and a 4–5 minute service time per vehicle for passenger cars, SUVs, and pickups. Lianhe Sowell notes that it holds core intellectual property and intends to deliver a full-spectrum solution spanning research and development, prototype production, factory testing, installation, training, and after-sales support. This reflects the Company’s emphasis on technological innovation, commercial implementation, and long-term service value.

“The customer approached Lianhe Sowell after an extensive search for a partner capable of solving two main technical challenges: automatic vehicle recognition with adaptive wash-polish-wax routines to enable precision, integrated maintenance, and reduced water use,” said Mr. Yue Zhu, Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Company. “Lianhe Sowell’s existing AI spray robot already fulfills a large part of the functional requirements identified by the customer, putting the Company in a position to complete the remaining development and deliver a commercial, unmanned solution. This order also marks the Company’s first foray into the North American market.”

The contract outlines clear milestones for prototype delivery, pricing terms for potential staged production, and ongoing technical support, including warranty and upgrade commitments. Lianhe Sowell will make additional regulatory disclosures as required, and investors and customers should refer to the Company’s public filings for more details about the Company and its business.
