(SeaPRwire) – HangZhou, China, April 24, 2026 — On April 24, the Eva Cab, China’s first purpose-built Robotaxi, was officially unveiled at Auto China 2026. Designed from the ground up specifically for autonomous driving, the model combines Geely’s advanced R&D and intelligent electric vehicle manufacturing with Qianli Haohan’s G-ASD L4 autonomous driving system and CaoCao’s ten years of operational experience in shared mobility.
CaoCao was deeply involved in the development and product definition of this inaugural purpose-built Robotaxi, utilizing its extensive experience with custom vehicles to significantly lower the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). The company optimized the exterior design, cabin layout, human-machine interaction, and vehicle durability while implementing multiple safety redundancies to lead in cost-efficiency, safety, and user experience. Mass production is scheduled for 2027, with CaoCao aiming to deploy 100,000 units by 2030.

Gong Xin, CEO of CaoCao, remarked: “CaoCao has consistently led the evolution of the shared mobility sector through technological innovation and practical operations. The debut of this Robotaxi is a major milestone in establishing a complete ecosystem of purpose-built intelligent vehicles and operations. In collaboration with Geely Auto Group and other partners, we will develop a Robotaxi fleet ‘designed for operations’ to provide safe, convenient, and eco-friendly mobility experiences for global users.”
As a flagship product of Geely’s All-Scenario AI 2.0 technology, the Eva Cab features the world’s first quantum-level AI electronic architecture. It utilizes quantum encryption to provide high-level security for vehicle-to-cloud communications, including data privacy and remote controls. The vehicle also introduces industry-first SOVD integrated diagnostics for proactive safety. Built with hardware redundancies for steering, braking, and computing, the Eva Cab includes sensor self-cleaning systems to ensure safety for fully driverless operations.
To maximize durability and cost-efficiency, the Eva Cab features a specialized low-drag body design without a steering wheel or front passenger seat, supporting automated cleaning and battery swapping. Its service life is two to three times longer than standard passenger cars, with extended maintenance intervals and lower operational costs. This ultra-low TCO ensures stable returns for fleet assets and supports large-scale profitable operations.
Regarding user experience, the Eva Cab prioritizes the passenger with a layout featuring opposing power sliding doors and face-to-face seating. It is equipped with “Super Eva,” China’s first integrated cabin-driving intelligent agent. Using voice interaction and vision models, it possesses advanced perception and cognitive abilities, connecting with external ecosystems to handle complex tasks and collaborative execution.
The event also showcased how Robotaxis will operate with Green Intelligent Mobility Hubs, which manage automated battery swapping, cleaning, and dispatching. These hubs will eventually support eVTOL landing pads. In the future, the Eva Cab will be part of an integrated space-air-ground ecosystem, working with road systems and satellites to create a future of smart mobility with zero congestion and accidents.
As the primary commercial carrier for Geely Holding Group’s Robotaxi business, CaoCao has established a “trinity” ecosystem of intelligent vehicles, technology, and operations. With a decade of experience in shared mobility, the company has accumulated vast data and a nationwide service network, providing a strong foundation for the commercial implementation of Robotaxis.
CaoCao plans to expand its Robotaxi fleet in more Chinese cities this year and explore services in Hong Kong and international markets. By leveraging Geely Holding Group’s global network, CaoCao will accelerate its strategic expansion into high-potential markets worldwide.
