Covering over 80,000 square meters, the expo attracted participants from almost 50 countries and regions, uniting more than 1,000 companies and over 10,000 products. It showcases six primary types of alcoholic beverages: baijiu, beer, wine, huangjiu (Chinese rice wine), fruit and liqueur-based spirits, and international distilled spirits. A special zone focused on digital and intelligent innovation underscores the use of artificial intelligence throughout the liquor sector. With Thailand as the Guest Country of Honor, the expo aims to promote mutual exchange and beneficial collaboration between the Chinese and global alcoholic drinks industries. The Thailand Pavilion presents a handpicked array of unique beverages—such as Chang beer, Singha beer, Thai whisky, and traditional rice wine—paired with genuine Thai cuisine and cultural displays, providing attendees with a comprehensive taste of Thailand’s distinctive drinking culture and exotic appeal.

The expo acts as a leading platform for worldwide conversation, highlighting Luzhou’s growing international stature as a place of origin. It assembled close to 50 businesses and buyers from famous overseas production areas, in addition to hosting more than 20 multilateral and bilateral trade and investment promotion activities intended to encourage sharing and learning between global markets.

Luzhou, the host city, is the birthplace of exceptional baijiu craftsmanship. The traditional brewing methods of Luzhou Laojiao developed during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties and have been transmitted from master to apprentice for more than 700 years across 24 unbroken generations. Foundational techniques like mud-pit fermentation and solid-state distillation have established the technical standards for the entire strong-aroma baijiu category.

Beginning with the first “Luzhou Famous Liquor Festival” in 1987, Luzhou has spent forty years nurturing one of the sector’s most distinguished assemblies. Evolving from a local festival into the current international exposition, it has changed from a regional celebration into a worldwide affair, persistently writing a key story of conservation and renewal for China’s liquor industry in a changing era.
