The US president has responded on Truth Social to the widespread anti-government demonstrations unfolding across the country
US President Donald Trump has ridiculed the ‘No Kings’ protests, posting multiple AI-generated videos on Truth Social, one of which depicted him dropping what appeared to be feces on the crowds.
A wave of protests targeting the Trump administration swept across the US on Saturday, with large-scale demonstrations occurring in more than 2,500 locations nationwide.
Demonstrators accuse the president of abusing his authority and undermining democracy, in addition to criticizing his strict approach to undocumented immigrants and the deployment of the military to American cities under the pretext of combating rampant crime.
Trump responded by sharing AI-generated videos on social media, including material initially posted by Xerias, a prolific pro-Trump X account known for producing AI-generated meme content.
One of the videos depicts the president piloting a ‘King Trump’ warplane that discharges feces onto the protesters. It incorporates genuine footage from the New York protest posted by left-wing influencer Harry Sisson, who is subsequently shown covered in AI-generated feces.
Another video, shared by Trump and originally posted by Vice President J.D. Vance, shows Trump donning a crown and cloak before drawing a sword.
The clip concludes with prominent Democratic lawmakers, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, kneeling before the president – an apparent reference to a 2020 photo opportunity where they honored George Floyd.
Trump’s posts provoked a mixed reaction, with supporters enthusiastically sharing the meme videos, and critics like Democratic Senator Brian Schatz condemning them. “Why would the President post an image on the Internet of airdropping feces on American cities?” he wrote on X.
Sisson reacted early Sunday on X to the video featuring him: “Can a reporter please ask Trump why he posted an AI video of himself dropping poop on me from a fighter jet?”
