(“Work Hangzhou”), along with its Chinese subsidiaries, has finalized a strategic cooperation agreement (the “Agreement”) with the Wuxi Branch of Ruijin Hospital-Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (“Xin Rui Hospital”). This partnership aims to jointly develop medical products leveraging artificial intelligence (the “AI”). This collaboration is a significant step in advancing WORK Medical’s AI strategy, with the objective of accelerating the creation of a next-generation, AI-powered smart clinical ecosystem.
Under the terms of the Agreement, Work Hangzhou commits to supporting Xin Rui Hospital in enhancing its hospital informatization and the implementation of AI-driven medical products. Both parties intend to integrate AI technology with Xin Rui Hospital’s diverse medical resources, including textual, imaging, and laboratory data, to establish a digital knowledge base for intelligent healthcare. Utilizing Xin Rui Hospital’s clinical diagnostic, treatment, and expert resources, Work Hangzhou also plans to improve its multimodal universal medical AI solution, expanding its capabilities from single-image data to complex multimodal data. This collaboration is anticipated to propel the development, training, and clinical deployment of AI models across various healthcare scenarios, as both entities strive to build a comprehensive framework encompassing data governance, model training, and the practical translation of research into clinical use.
Xin Rui Hospital, located in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China, is a Grade 3-Class B tertiary hospital affiliated with Ruijin Hospital–Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, which itself is one of China’s leading Grade 3-Class A tertiary hospitals and a National Clinical Research Center as designated by the National Health Commission.
