Rumors are circulating that the alleged network transfer of Sarah from ABS-CBN to GMA has been halted after she rejected the offer. According to a recent video of ‘Sarah G Updates’ on YouTube, an assistant close to the Popstar revealed that the singer-actress rejected the offer worth around P600 million – P800 million for an exclusive contract under GMA for 5 years.

As one of Kapamilya’s prized talents, this was allegedly the biggest offer GMA has made for a celebrity in its entire history. Unfortunately, it was turned down by Sarah. In an earlier report by Energy FM on YouTube, the hosts revealed that the reason was because of Sarah’s loyalty to ABS-CBN.

“Hindi kinagat kasi ng nagiisang Asia’s Popstar Royalty na si Sarah Geronimo dahil ang kanyang loyalty ay nasa Kapamilya network… Na wala pa umanong definite project para sa kanya,” Kapitan Sisa, the host of the show revealed.

The report continued that Sarah has been doing well as a “freelance” artist for ABS-CBN. With Sarah’s rejection of GMA’s offer, she will continue to appear on ABS-CBN’s musical variety show ‘ASAP’. However, her appearance will only be once a week. The alleged reason was that ABS-CBN couldn’t afford the Php 2 million to Php 3 million per week talent fee of Sarah. Her talent fee was allegedly bigger than Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.

But allegedly the negotiations for Sarah’s husband, Matteo Guidicelli to transfer to the Kapuso network are still ongoing. According to the veteran entertainment columnist Cristy Fermin, Matteo has been eyeing a travel show on GMA similar to Drew Arellano’s ‘Biyahe ni Drew.’

Earlier, it was also Fermin who revealed that meetings have been ongoing for the celebrity couple’s alleged network transfer to GMA. She added that it was Viva Big Boss Vic del Rosario who was handling the negotiation.

Meanwhile, there were also reports that ABS-CBN’s ‘The Voice Kids Philippines’ will move to GMA with Xian Lim as host. The actor/host denied that there’s an offer while GMA has yet to issue an official statement on the issues.
