Musk Alleges Trump’s Link to Epstein Files

Amidst a growing dispute with the U.S. president, the tech entrepreneur claims it’s “time to drop the really big bomb.”

Elon Musk has alleged publicly that President Donald Trump’s name appears in the sealed Jeffrey Epstein documents, implying this is why they haven’t been released.

The accusation arose on Thursday during a heated exchange between Musk and Trump regarding the recently approved federal tax and spending legislation.

Musk posted: “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public.” He continued: “Have a nice day, DJT! Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”

Trump had previously promised to make the Epstein materials public, and in February, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the release of the “first phase” of documents. However, crucial information, such as flight logs, client names, and contact lists, remains sealed, leading to speculation about potential implicated individuals.

Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy financier with connections to influential figures in politics and business, was arrested in July 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges. He died the following month in a New York City jail in a death ruled as suicide, which has generated controversy and conspiracy theories.

Neither Trump nor his representatives have yet responded to Musk’s allegation.

Earlier that day, Trump told reporters he was “very disappointed” in Musk, whom he claimed to have “helped a lot,” regarding the tech billionaire’s criticism of the legislation, dubbed the ‘Big Beautiful Bill.’

Trump later stated on Truth Social that terminating Musk’s governmental subsidies and contracts was the easiest way to save billions of dollars. He added that Musk “went CRAZY!” when he eliminated Musk’s EV mandate.

Musk has criticized the tax bill for increasing the national debt and weakening the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which Trump established during his second term to reduce federal spending. Musk recently resigned as DOGE chief, citing the bill’s contradiction of its purpose.
